REMEMBERING MY BEST CHILDHOOD FRIEND, AUDREY

Feeling so sad and heartbroken lately…
On February 21, I lost my best friend, Audrey. We had been best friends since our childhood in New Orleans, Louisiana. God made it possible for me to fly from Germany to New Orleans, Louisiana, be at her bedside and hold her hand as I spoke words of comfort to her. She could not speak to me, but she could hear me.  As I held her hand, I remember how she gently squeezed mine to let me know that she knew I was there for her. It was one of the most devastating feelings in the world to know that I could not do anything to ease her pain and suffering. I remain forever grateful to God for allowing me that precious time to be by her side before He took her home. R.I.P, my friend.
